Since my diagnosis in March 2012, I have had to drastically change my life. The very first thing that required attention was my diet. In the past, I loved SALT. I could drink it from the shaker. Japanese food is one of my all time favorites, as was pizza and sub sandwiches.
It was devastating when I was told I had to eliminate as much sodium from my diet as humanly possible. In addition to the low sodium diet, I had to reduce my protein, potassium and cholesterol.
Since then, I have taken it upon myself to start a low sodium cookbook.
